We were impressed by the above re-engagement campaign sent out by Elementor, and wanted to share it with you.

Why Refresh Your List?

Whilst we are not advocates for removing people from your list, just because they don't engage with your emails, continually sending emails to such people may be disadvantageous:

It's better to know what your recipients are interested in, so that you can provide the right information to them, at the right frequency, and thus retain their engagement.
Email platforms such as Gmail / Outlook.com may track the engagement of your recipient, and based on the lack of opening / clicking on links in your email, might determine that your email should not be part of the "focused" or main email view.
Your recipient may assume that they have previously unsubscribed, and then be inclined to hit the 'Report' button. If too many people report your emails as spam, it can affect your email deliverability.

A re-engagement email can help you to enrich your understanding of your contacts' interests, as well as foster engagement.

What we liked about the Elementor Re-engagement Email

The content of the Elementor email is positive! Rather than "if you don't take action, we will stop emailing", the email made it clear that there's no pressure, and the recipient doesn't have to do anything to maintain the status quo.

The email provides the option to unsubscribe, but also explains that you can adjust how many emails you are receiving and which types of emails, by adjusting your preferences.
